Tigers Take Third at Conference Golf Tourney

The Scotland County golf team closed out the 2012 season with a third place finish at the Tri-Rivers Conference Tournament held April 30th in Unionville.

The host team, Putnam County, claimed the conference crown with a team score of 339. Schuyler County finished second with a 395 followed by SCR-I with a 421 and Milan five shots behind in fourth place.

Taylor Rader shot a 47 to lead SCR-I. Drew Miller carded a 50 and Andrew Mathes shot a 52. Logan Remley rounded out the team score with a 60.

Cody Quint won the individual medalist award. The Putnam County golfer shot a 35, which was par for the course. Teammate Derrick Tribble was runner up with a 36. Dillon Bradshaw and Jacob Parker shot a 41 and a 45 to round out the winning team's score, and finish in the top four individual scores.

Rader's round of 47, was tied for fifth with Christian Nolte of Schuyler County.
