Scotland County Teams Ranked #1 for Novinger Tourney

Both Scotland County teams earned the top seed in the 2011 Novinger Basketball Tournaments set to tip off November 28th.

The girls sit atop the bracket, with an opening round contest set for 7 p.m. Monday night, November 28th versus Novinger. The other Monday night girls game will feature #4 Bevier vs. #5 Green City.

The Milan girls earned the #2 seed. They will play #7 Atlanta on Tuesday. Also on Tuesday, #3 La Plata will take on #6 seed Brashear.

The Lady Tigers will play a second round game on Wednesday, November 30th. A win puts them in the semi finals at 7 p.m. or a loss would drop them into the consolation bracket game at 4:30 p.m. Consolation finals will be played Friday, December 2. The girls third place game is set for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 3 with the championship set to tip off at 7 p.m.

In the boys' bracket, Scotland County drew the #1 seed and will play #8 Brashear at 8:15 p.m. on Monday, November 28th.

The other Monday night boys game pits #4 La Plata versus #5 Milan.

On the bottom half of the bracket, #2 Novinger will take on #7 Bevier and #3 Green City will do battle with #6 Atlanta.

An opening round win puts the Tigers in the semifinals with an 8:15 p.m. tipoff on Wednesday, November 30th. A loss sends them into the consolation bracket for a 5:45 p.m. game.

The boys' consolation contests are scheduled for 5:45 p.m. (7th place) and 8:15 p.m. (5th) place on Friday, December 2nd. The third place game will be played Saturday, December 3rd at 5:45 p.m. with the championship contest to tip off at 8:15 that night.
