Pool to Offer Weekend Hours Thru August

Back to school time has traditionally meant the final days for the Memphis Swimming Pool. That won't be the case in 2011, as parks director Allen Garrett recently announced extended hours for the facility.
The pool will be open Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons through the Labor Day holiday. Beginning August 19th, the pool will be open from 4-7 p.m. on Fridays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The pool will also be open Labor Day, Monday, September 5th from 1-5 p.m.
"We will also make the pool available to book pool parties on any of these nights," Garrett stated.
Existing season passes will be honored through September 5th.
