Keri Cottrell Announces State Rep Candidacy
Jefferson City, MO – Keri Cottrell traveled to Jefferson City to officially file as a candidate for the State House of Representatives in the First District. “While this marks the official beginning of the campaign, we have been working hard to talk to voters across this district about the need for new leadership in the State Legislature, said Cottrell. “Like Governor Nixon, I will be squarely focused on creating jobs and making fiscally sound investments into our community infrastructure.” The Cottrell campaign has already raised $9,807.31 from over 50 donors as of the last disclosure in January.
Keri Cottrell is a teacher at Canton Elementary school. She has worked as an educator for the last nineteen years.
She is the President for the Northeast Missouri Region of the Missouri State Teacher’s Association and serves on the state resolutions committee. Keri is also involved with many community organizations including the Douglas Community Center where she is serving a board member.
Keri and her husband, Tony, reside in Canton with their two children, Andrew and Hannah. The Cottrell family are active members of the Immanuel United Methodist Church where Keri serves as lay leader and church council chairperson.
