Timber Ridge Hosts Seniors Tournament
Timber Ridge Golf Course hosted a two-player senior open tournament on August 19th in Memphis.
The team of Carl Reno and Ted Statler took home top honors, winning the championship flight with an 18-hole score of 64. They edged out the team of Dale Bogle and Glen Adkissson in a tie breaker after both teams finished four under par on the day. Chipper Harris and Mark Mattingly finished third with a round of 65.
Harry and Frank Ransford won the A flight, shooting a round of 69. Donnie Middleton and Frank Parsons finished second, three over par with a 71. There was a tie for third place between the team of Vernon Yoder and George Owings and the team of Don Clarrage and Skip Averill.
A total of 14 teams participated.
Dale Bogle claimed the prize for closest to the pin on hole #3 with a tee shot 16 inches from a hole in one. Carl Reno was 32 inches away on the second round to win the prize on the back nine.
