Speedway to Host Go-Kart Races Friday

After battling with Mother Nature the past few years at the fair, the Show-Me Speedway racers decided not to let inclement weather prevent the 2009 fair race.

Despite again being rained out on the Friday night of the Scotland County Fair, organizers agreed to reschedule the race for Friday, July 31st at the Scotland County Speedway on the fairgrounds.

Racers ranging in age from five years and up will be competing in seven different divisions of go-kart racing with proceeds to go to support the fair. Grandstand admission will be $5 and the concession stand will be available.

Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. with racing set to start at 7:00 p.m.
