SCR-I Falls To State Ranked Canton 55-32

The fourth ranked team in Missouri Class 2 wasted little time showing Scotland County it deserved the high accolades. Canton jumped out to a 9-1 first period lead and expanded that to a 25-8 advantage by halftime en route to a 55-32 victory on February 20th in Canton.

Canton clamped down on the Lady Tigers’ top scorer, shutting out Kirsten Johnston on the evening.

Kaitlin Caldwell led SCR-I with seven points. Cheyenne Ward made a pair of three pointers in the game and Jessica Bair and Valerie Oldham each finished with five points.

The loss dropped Scotland County to 8-15.

Canton (19-2) was led by Jessi Logsdon with 14 points while Danielle Caldwell pitched in with 13 points.
