Rutledge to Host 11th Annual Fall Celebration
The 11th Annual Fall Celebration will bring visitors to Rutledge on Saturday, September 15th for a variety of good old-fashioned fun.
Organizers note that the parade will highlight the event but the list of entertainment goes well beyond the community display.
Crafters will begin setting up shop early Saturday morning and will be open throughout the day. The event’s raffle sales will also start in the morning before folks begin gathering for the parade.
Participants are asked to begin forming for the march at the Rutledge School at 10:30 a.m. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Following the parade, guests will be able to participate in a pedal tractor pull, a back-seat driver contest, kids games, face painting and the dime pitch.
Lunch will be served in the park with a menu including hot dogs, hamburgers and much more.
Open stage musical performances will start at 1:00 p.m. and bingo will get underway at that time in the community building.
A square dancing demonstration will be offered at 2:00 p.m.
“Bring your lawn chairs and be ready to have fun,” said organizer Irene Mayfield.
