Forty-four Entries Pack Show-Me Speedway
Show-Me Speedway in Downing drew another big crowd for Saturday night go-kart racing action.
“We had a great turn out Saturday night at Show-Me Speedway with 44 entries and a grandstand full of supporters of their favorite drivers,” stated track supporter Alan Garret
The Rookie class race went to #37 Joey Hagar with #12 Jacen Stotts in second and #39 Ben Bolden in third.
Tyler Griesbaum took the checkered flag in the Junior I feature race. His #3 kart held off #8 Rachel Shahan and #31B Brady Bowling
The Junior II Heavy class was topped by #34 Greg Tuggle. Seth Shahan settled for second in the #38 kart followed by #3 Wes Golden.
Golden rebounded for the top spot in the Junior II class feature race. He bested #11 Joshua Robinson, #28 Samara Brush and #44 Andy Garrett.
The Stock Lite action saw #32 Tyler Hagar take the checkered flag ahead of #33 Brent Williams and #34 Gabe Hettinger.
Ashley Hutchinson finished at the head of the class in the Stock Medium Class. She topped #22 Adam Baker and #60 Blake Stiles.
The Masters’ division feature race was won by #48 David Kirkpatrick. Rhea Golden and the #711 kart took second with #2 Jay Brush in third.
Garrett reported that both karts that were protested following the races have passed technical review and were found in compliance with the rules.
The winner of the 50/50 drawing was Michelle Fry of Downing.
The next race will be June 17th with hot laps at 6:00 p.m. and racing at 7:00 p.m. As always spectators are free.
