Jamie Fuller Pours In 22 Points In Win Over Milan
The Scotland County Lady Tigers have banked on their seniors as the 2005-06 season has unwound. Early on it was Ali Fromm and Angie Bulen handling the scoring load. Point guard Ashlee Frederick returned from injury to put up big points for SCR-I in the North Shelby game.
On February 7th it was Jamie Fullerís turn. The fourth member of the talented group of upperclassmen, Fuller singed the nets for a season-high 22 points as she led SCR-I to a 67-36 victory over Milan.
Scotland County put on an offensive show in the first period. The seniors scored 22 of the teamís 24 points to build a 10-point lead. Ali Fromm had nine points in the gameís opening eight minutes.
Ashlee Frederick hit her second three pointer of the night early in the second period as the Lady Tigers extended the advantage to 36-22 at the intermission.
Fuller canned a pair of three pointers in the third period and Fromm added another trey as SCR-I outscored Milan 13-9 to add to the 49-31 lead.
The fourth period started with six quick points by Fuller who capped off the dominating performance.
Coach Kelli Swearingen turned the contest over to the bench and saw impressive performances from sophomore Kaela Cook and freshman Deidra Dochterman who combined for eight points in limited time.
Fuller led Scotland County with 22 points. Fromm finished with 14 points while Kirsten Johnston chimed in with nine points. SCR-I improved to 12-8 on the season and 3-1 in the Tri-Rivers Conference. Milan (12-8, 2-2) was led by Trisha Bohle with 22 points.
