Clark County Hands Lady Tigers First Conference Loss
If the Scotland County Lady Tigers could scratch one destination of the teamís annual travel plans it would have to be Kahoka. SCR-I visited the Clark County Indians on January 31st and quickly saw why the neighbor to the east is the least favorite landing spot for SCR-I, which has not won in Kahoka this decade.
Scotland County quickly fell behind the fifth-ranked team in Missouri Class 3, as the Lady Indians closed the first period with a 15-4 run to lead 18-6 after the first eight minutes of play.
Clark County continued to outdistance its guests, starting the second period with a 6-0 run to lead 24-6.
The two teams traded baskets the remainder of the first half as Clark County maintained a 35-16 lead at the break.
The third period was fairly even, but Clark County managed to out score SCR-I 16-12 to extend the margin to 51-28.
The home team then put the finishing touches on the lopsided victory, pouring in 24 fourth-period points to make the final score 75-47.
Jamie Fuller had a season-high 16 points to lead Scotland County (11-7, 2-1). Ali Fromm finished with 14 points.
Clark County improved to 18-1 on the year and 4-0 in league play. Brady Logsdon and Daryle Glodie each had 15 points to pace the Indians.
