Gift From Kerr Estate Helps Care Center Buy New Van

Residents and staff of the Scotland County Care Center will be riding in style courtesy of a gracious gift to the local nursing home by the estate of the late Harley Kerr.

SCCC Administrator Kathy Smith stated the nursing home recently purchased a new van with a portion of the funds left to the facility by the Kerr estate.

The van will be used to transport residents to out-of-town doctor appointments and to various activities around town. It will also be used by the staff to travel to training opportunities and other meetings.
