Rep. Behnen to Announce Candidacy for State Senate

Rep. Bob Behnen (R-Kirksville) is scheduled to announced his candidacy for the 18th District State Senate at the Daryl Bode farm in Palmyra at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 5.

Behnen is seeking the seat currently held by Sen. John Cauthorn. Senator Cauthorn can not seek re-election due to term limits.

Behnen will be joined by his family, Cauthorn and fellow representative Brian Munzlinger (R-Lewistown) for the announcement.

Behnen, District 2 State Representative, serves Adair, Putnam and Sullivan counties. He was first elected to the post in 2000. He serves on the House budget committee, is the vice-chairman of the elementary and secondary education committee and chairs the professional registration and licensing committee.
