Three-Day Race Spectacular At Memphis Track
Bentz GM Country Scotland County Speedway is gearing up for three huge nights of Racing with the biggest purses ever paid out at the track. Opening night is fast approaching, Thursday, October 13. Action will take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The top six in the feature races in each class Thursday and Friday will be locked into Saturdayís A-Main. On Saturday the top 12 modified drivers will race the Walker Motors Collision Repair Dash with the winner claiming $1,000.
The Late Models will race Friday and Saturday only. The Modifieds, Stock Cars, B-Mods, Hobby Stocks, Cruisers and Ponies will race all three nights. On Saturday the Modifieds and Late Models will race for $5,000 to win, the Stock Cars $2,000, B-Mods $1,000, Hobby Stocks $700 and Cruisers and Ponies $300 each.
There will be a practice session next Wednesday, October 12 from 5:30 to 9:30. Gates will open Thursday and Friday at 4:00 p.m., hot laps at 6:30 with racing to follow. Saturday gates open at 2:00 p.m., hot laps 5:00 p.m., racing to follow. Tickets Thursday and Friday will be adults $12, 6-12 years olds $3, and five and under free. Saturday adults $15, 6-12 year old $5, and 5 and under free.
Two dollars off adult grandstand coupons for Thursday and Fridayís races can be picked up in Memphis at: Memphis Auto and Truck Parts, Gas and More, RaceMart, and the Memphis Democrat newspaper. In Kirksville at the Kirksville Brake and Muffler; in Kahoka at Bentz GM Country and Trump Trucks; and in Edina at The Farm Shop.
