‘Golden Oldies’ Shine At June 26 Show-Me Speedway Races

Rhea Golden shined in the 40-over class at the June 26 go-kart races at Show-Me Speedway in Downing. She took the checkered flag ahead of George Owings and David Kirkpatrick.

The Rookie Class race was won by #21 Alex Macomber. He bested Ben Bolden (#39) and Elliot O’Neal (#8).

Ashley Hutchison took home the trophy in the Stock class. She held off Kirk Hopkins and Brent Williams.

The Junior I division was won by #99 Tyler Griegsbaum. Mitch Kriegshausar was second in the #6K kart with Rachel Shahan taking third in the #8 ride.

Schuyler Cavender (#24) was victorious in the Junior II race. He beat Tyler Hagar (#32) and Wes Golden (#3).

The Junior I Heavy feature was a three kart race that eventually went to Dylan Kriegshauser in the #20 ride. He held off Tyler Griegsbaum and the #44 kart of Andy Garrett.

The 50-50 winner was Mike McClure of Bloomfield, IA.

The next race is scheduled for July 11. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with hot laps at 6:00 p.m. and races at 7:00 p.m. There will be a special candy dash for the kids and a fireworks display will follow the show.
