Bentz GM Country Secures Speedway Sponsorship Rights
Marketing director Ed Sheckler announced February 17 that Bentz GM Country of Kahoka and Macon has signed on to be the official track sponsor for 2004 at the Scotland County Speedway.
“It’s exciting to have Bentz GM Country as the track sponsor for 2004,” Scheckler said. He said the company recently expanded to its new site in Kahoka making the car dealership a perfect match for the speedway sponsorship rights that will not only give the car dealer excellent exposure at the track but added advertising opportunities through media coverage of the track.
Bentz is a GM dealer for Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile and Pontiac as well as GM trucks.
“It is our hope that race fans will patronize Bentz GM Country for their dedication to the speedway,” Scheckler stated. “Let the folks at Bentz know you appreciate their support of the track.”
Opening night at Bentz GM Country Scotland County Speedway will be April 23 as the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) comes to Memphis for the start of a two-day show Friday and Saturday nights sponsored by J & J Ag and Travel Connections of Memphis.
Friday night will feature the USMTS modifieds, stock cars, B-modifieds, hobby stocks and cruisers. Saturday night’s show will include late models, modifieds, stock cars, B-modifieds, hobby stocks and cruisers. Each evening will be a completely separate race program. The modifieds will pay $2,000 to win Friday night, with a $3,000 purse for the top finisher on Saturday.
