Memphis Man’s Death Ruled A Suicide
Local authorities responded to a residence on north Main Street at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 13 to the scene of an apparent suicide.
Scotland County coroner Ginny Monroe pronounced Ted Lancaster, 40, of Memphis, dead at the scene. The cause of death was asphyxiation by hanging.
The coroner was assisted at the scene by officers from the Memphis Police Department, Scotland County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
