Deer Blamed For Crash That Injures Two Memphis Men
Two Memphis men were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:00 p.m. June 12 on Route D two miles west of the Highway 15 intersection in Scotland County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Denny L. Ward, 21, was eastbound on Route D in a 1993 Ford Ranger when he swerved to miss a deer. The truck traveled off the north side of road and came to rest in a field.
Ward suffered minor injuries in the crash. A passenger in the truck, Andrew L. Graham, 18, of Memphis, sustained moderate injuries in the accident. Both men were taken by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital.
