Local Man Headed To Prison After Probation Revoked
A Memphis man headed to the Missouri Department of Corrections April 4 following a probation revocation hearing held during the Scotland County Circuit Court law day.
Danny Simerl headed to the DOC for a sentence of five years after his probation was revoked. He had initially been granted a suspended imposition of sentence and placed on five years probation for a charge of class D felony unlawful use of a weapon on August 13, 2000.
The SIS of the five-year prison sentence was removed at a revocation hearing November 16, 2001.
Judge Gary Dial ordered the previously imposed sentence to be executed during the April 3 hearing. He granted a stay until 8:00 a.m. April 4, at which time Simerl was transported to the DOC by officers of the Scotland County Sheriff's Department to begin serving his sentence.
